The Pandas are a wood-bat, summer collegiate baseball team located in the North Hills region of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We play in the Tri-State Collegiate League, which includes twelve franchises divided into two divisions, with teams located in Pennsylvania and Ohio, including Pittsburgh, Youngsgtown, Cleveland, Canton, and Toledo. Our League plays in accordance with all NCAA rules and regulations governing summer collegiate baseball.
Players on the Pandas come from Divisions I, II and III throughout the region and beyond, including the University of Pittsburgh, Pitt-Greensburg, Seton Hill University, Mercyhurst College, Penn State Greater Allegheny, LaRoche College, and Waynesburg University. We carry a 22-player roster during the regular season. All players must be 22 years old or younger, enrolled in a college or university, with athletic eligibility remaining.
Our 36-game season schedule begins during the first week of June and runs through the end of July. Division winners meet in the playoffs, with the winner receiving an automatic bid to the National Amateur Baseball Federation (NABF) Summer College World Series. The runner-up receives a bid to the NABF Regional Tournament in Youngstown, with the winner of that tournament also earning a berth in the World Series. League teams also complete in other post-season tournaments, including AAABA and CABA.
The Pandas play the majority of our home games at La Roche College in the Town of McCandless, with some games played at Woodland Hills High School in Churchill. We do not charge admission to our games, but do accept free-will donations.
We hope to see you at one or more Pandas games this summer!
